Store verification: get verified and lift part payments
Store verification is the platform's review of who is behind a store. You submit an identity document and a business document, the platform team reviews them, and a verified status upgrades how your store handles part payments on direct-debit methods. It costs nothing and takes minutes to submit; review completes within 1-2 business days. ## Why verify Verification changes the **part-payment rate** — the percentage a customer pays up front when paying by direct-debit methods (bank transfer, mobile money, crypto; card and wallet payments always collect in full): 1. **Unverified or pending stores**: customers pay the default rate — 10% up front, balance on delivery. 2. **Verified stores**: customers pay the verified rate — 50% up front by default — which means far more cash lands before you ship. 3. **Rejected stores**: revert to the default rate until the issue is fixed and resubmitted. The exact percentages are platform-configurable; your verification page always shows the rate that applies to you right now. A verified store also reads as trustworthy to first-time buyers deciding whether to transfer money to a name they have never heard of. ## How to submit documents 1. Go to **Verification** at /dashboard/verification. The status badge shows where you stand: **unverified**, **pending**, **verified**, or **rejected**, with the part-payment rate beside it. 2. Upload your documents to a secure host you control — Google Drive, Dropbox, or similar — and set the share links so reviewers can open them. 3. Paste the **identity document** link (required): a government ID or passport for the store owner. 4. Paste the **business document** link (required): registration certificate, trade license, or equivalent proof the business exists. 5. Add **additional documents** if anything about your business would help a reviewer — permits, brand authorizations, supplier letters. Optional, but they reduce back-and-forth. 6. Submit. Your status moves to **pending** and the documents list records exactly what you sent and when. ## The review process 1. The platform team reviews submissions within **1-2 business days**. 2. On approval, your status badge flips to **verified** and the improved part-payment rate applies to checkout immediately — no further action needed. 3. If the submission is rejected, the status shows **rejected** with notes on what to fix — typically an unreadable document or a name mismatch between the ID and the store's contact. Fix the issue and resubmit; resubmission follows the same flow. 4. The rate badge on the page always reflects the live computation, so you can confirm the change took effect. ## What happens next Verified status is set once and stays with the store; there is no recurring re-verification to chase. Keep the underlying documents current in the real world — if your business registration changes, submit fresh documents so your record stays accurate. ## Tips 1. Submit before you launch your first campaign. Verification queues are calm until they are not, and you want the 50% rate active before ad spend arrives. 2. Make sure the name on the identity document matches the store's contact email owner — mismatches are the most common rejection. 3. If a document link requires a login to view, reviewers cannot open it. Set link sharing to "anyone with the link". ## FAQ **Is my information safe?** Documents are submitted as links to storage you control, and only the platform's verification reviewers use them for this check. Nothing is published to your storefront. **What exactly does verification change for my customers?** Their up-front percentage on bank transfer, mobile money, and crypto checkout moves from the default (10%) to the verified rate (50%) — and they see the verified status of the store they are paying. **Can I reapply after a rejection?** Yes. Read the notes on the rejected submission, correct the documents, and resubmit. Review time is the same 1-2 business days.
