The AI Agent Workforce: twelve agents, one task board

The AI Agent Workforce at `/dashboard/agents` gives you twelve named AI workers — each with a job description, a tool belt, and its own shift schedule. They are not chat widgets. They read your store data, do real work, and leave a written trail you can audit. You stay in charge through autonomy settings and approval cards; the agents stay busy through scheduled shifts. ## Meet the team The workforce has twelve agents: - **Orchestrator** — decomposes your goals into tasks, assigns them to the right specialist, unblocks stuck work, and posts a daily standup. It is always on while any other agent is enabled. - **Operations Manager** — triages orders, flags stuck or stale fulfillments, watches SLAs, and proposes status changes. - **Support Desk Agent** — triages tickets, sets priority and category, drafts replies, and hands repeated questions to the Docs & FAQ Manager. It never messages customers directly and never closes tickets. - **Product Manager** — spots catalog gaps and duplicates, suggests pricing hints, flags restock needs. - **Blog Manager** — maintains the editorial calendar and drafts posts with internal links. - **Sales Manager** — qualifies contacts, chases stale deals, drafts quotes, and enrolls contacts in sequences. - **SEO Specialist** — runs audits, tracks keywords, proposes on-page fixes. - **Email Marketer** — drafts campaigns, cleans segments, suggests win-back flows and subject lines. - **Social Media Manager** — drafts queue posts per channel, manages hashtag sets, suggests best-time scheduling. - **Docs & FAQ Manager** — drafts missing FAQs and docs from real customer questions. - **Content Marketer** — cross-channel briefs: turns one idea into blog, social, and email angles. - **Automation Builder** — builds flows in the Automation Hub from goals you describe, approval-gated. ## Enable an agent and set its autonomy 1. Go to **Agents** and pick an agent. Click **Enable**. 2. Choose an autonomy level. **Read only** means the agent looks and reports. **Propose** (the default) means it drafts changes and files proposals for your approval. **Act** means it executes within its tool limits — no approval round-trip for the actions its tools allow. 3. Start on **Propose** for everything. Promote an agent to **Act** only after a couple of weeks of reading its proposals. ## Run a shift Agents work in shifts. Set a schedule per agent — for example, every morning at 08:00 — or click **Run shift now** to trigger one on demand. Shifts are continuous: a new shift reads the journal from where the last one stopped and picks up open tasks instead of starting over. That is why the daily standup makes sense — the team has real continuity. ## Talk to the team in the room The **Room** at `/dashboard/agents/room` is a shared channel between you and the agents. **@mention** an agent to direct work — "@Product Manager: draft descriptions for the six new scarves" — and it picks up the thread, replies, and creates tasks for itself or others. Type "remember ..." anywhere in chat and the fact is saved to agent memory, so preferences like "we never discount below 20%" survive across shifts. ## Review proposals, approve with one click Most agent output arrives as a proposal card showing a **before/after diff** — the product description as it is, and as the agent suggests. Click **Approve** to apply it or **Reject** to discard it; both are logged. Nothing on the **Propose** level touches your live store without your click. ## Track work on the task board The **Tasks** board at `/dashboard/agents/tasks` is a kanban of agent work: assigned, in progress, blocked, done. The Orchestrator assigns and reassigns here; you can reassign, prioritize, or unblock a stuck task yourself. ## Everything is journaled The **Activity** page at `/dashboard/agents/activity` is the audit trail: every action, proposal, approval, and message, with timestamps. If you ever wonder "why did the SEO Specialist change that title?", the journal answers it. ## FAQ **Will agents email my customers?** No. The Support Desk Agent drafts replies that land inside the ticket as agent drafts — a human sends them. Outbound campaigns come only from flows and campaigns you set up. **What is the default autonomy level?** **Propose**. Agents default to suggesting, never acting. **Can I disable one agent without affecting the rest?** Yes, per agent. The Orchestrator stays on as long as at least one other agent is enabled, because it coordinates the team.
