Products: create, edit, and bulk-manage your catalog
Everything you sell lives under **Products**. This tutorial walks through creating a product properly — media, pricing, variants, and SEO — then shows how the Spreadsheet Manager handles bulk work so you never edit fifty products by hand. Your plan caps how many products you can store (the Free plan allows 5 by default; higher plans raise or remove the cap), and the editor tells you when you hit the limit. ## How to create a product 1. Go to **Products** and click **New product** (or use the **Add product** tile on the dashboard). 2. On the **Basics** step, enter the **title**, **price**, and a description in the rich text editor. Use the **AI Assist** panel under the editor: pick a tone, then click **Write description** to generate draft copy, or **SEO meta** to draft the search snippet. Every AI suggestion is inserted into the editor for you to edit before saving — you stay the author. 3. On the media step, upload images. Uploads go to the platform's Cloudinary account through a signed request, so images are delivered fast and never count against your own hosting. The first image becomes the primary product image. 4. On the **Inventory** step, set whether stock is tracked and enter the quantity. Low-stock warnings across the dashboard use this number. 5. On the **Variants** step, add options (for example Size and Color). The platform builds the variant matrix from your options so you can price and stock each combination. 6. On the **SEO** step, set the meta **title**, **description**, **og image**, and **keywords**. Leave a field empty and sensible defaults are derived from the product title and description. 7. Set the status to **active** or **draft** and click **Save**. ## The Spreadsheet Manager For bulk work, open **Spreadsheet Manager** at /dashboard/products/sheet: 1. Edit any cell — title, status, prices, inventory, SKU, tags, type, vendor, weight, description — directly in the grid. On mobile the same sheet becomes stacked editable cards. 2. Changes auto-save in debounced batches, with a per-row chip showing saving, saved, or error. No save button to hunt for. 3. Made a mistake? Undo works server-side: the last 10 write batches keep pre-write snapshots you can roll back. 4. Import and export **CSV** for work in Excel or Sheets, and upload product images straight from the sheet. 5. Variant matrices and collection assignment stay in the full editor — rows deep-link to it. ## Duplicating and deleting On the products list, **Duplicate** copies a product with its options and images so you only change what differs — the fastest way to add a colorway. **Delete** removes the product permanently; the spreadsheet grid and the list both make it hard to do this by accident, but there is no trash can, so be sure. ## What happens next The moment you click **Save**, two things happen. The storefront updates — the product appears under /<storeSlug>/products with its own page at its handle. And if you have connected sales channels in **Marketplace Sync**, a sync job is queued in real time so the change propagates without a second action from you. ## Tips 1. AI calls count against your plan's daily AI quota (15 requests per day on Free by default), so batch your drafting sessions. 2. Drafts are invisible on the storefront — use draft status as your staging area for seasonal items. 3. Fill the SEO fields for your ten best-sellers first; they carry most of your search traffic. ## FAQ **Why can't I add another product?** You have reached the **maxProducts** limit of your plan. The message on the editor shows your current count; upgrade from **Billing** to raise or remove the cap. **Do I have to use the AI writer?** No — it drafts, you decide. The description field is a normal rich text editor, and you can ignore the AI panel entirely. **What happens to my product images if I downgrade?** Existing images stay served by Cloudinary. Storage is metered per plan (200 MB on Free by default), so very large libraries may need a higher plan going forward.
