SEO Suite: audits, keywords, and fixes with honest numbers
SEO Suite at `/dashboard/seo` is a complete search toolkit: audits, keyword research and tracking, an on-page optimizer, redirects, IndexNow submissions, competitor monitoring, weekly reports, and a toolbox of live inspectors. One important honesty rule runs through it: keyword estimates are modeled by AI, clearly labeled as such — not scraped from search engines — and every other number comes from your own site and first-party tracking. ## Run a site audit 1. Open **SEO** → **Audit** and click **Start audit**. The crawler runs 60+ checks across technical health, content quality, metadata, and links. 2. Audits run asynchronously with a progress indicator — you can leave the page and come back; results are waiting. 3. When the audit completes, issues land in the **Issues** queue with a **severity** (critical, warning, notice) and an **autoFixable** flag for problems the platform can repair itself, like missing meta descriptions or malformed tags. One click applies the fix; everything else comes with a plain-language explanation of what to change. ## Research keywords the honest way 1. Open **Keywords** → **Research** and enter a seed term. The AI returns related terms grouped into **clusters** — intent-organized topic groups you can plan content around. 2. Each term carries estimated volume and difficulty, and these figures are explicitly labeled as **modeled estimates**. They are directional planning numbers, not search-engine data, and the UI says so where they appear. 3. Add the terms worth ranking for to **Tracking**. Daily snapshots record each keyword's position so you build a real history of what your changes did. Tracking capacity scales by plan: 25 keywords on Free, 150 on paid tiers, and 1,000 on the top tier. ## Optimize a page with a SERP preview The **On-page** optimizer at `/dashboard/seo/onpage` is where fixes become rankings: pick a URL and a target keyword, then edit the title and meta description while a **Google-style SERP preview** shows exactly how the result will look — truncation included. Click **Generate with AI** for a draft meta set built from the page content and target term, tweak it, and save. Changes publish to the live page immediately. ## Fix redirects in one place **Redirects** at `/dashboard/seo` manage 301s (permanent) and 302s (temporary) with source, target, and a hit counter per rule. Deleted products, renamed pages, and old campaign URLs belong here — every redirect that fires increments its count, so you can see which rules are pulling weight and delete the dead ones. ## Get indexed faster with IndexNow **Indexing** handles IndexNow submissions: when you publish or change something important, submit the URLs and the participating search engines are notified immediately instead of waiting for a crawl. It is a small habit that meaningfully shortens the "published it, when will Google notice?" gap. ## Watch competitors within plan limits **Competitor Radar** at `/dashboard/seo/competitors` lets you add rival domains and monitor their keyword surfaces side by side with yours. Capacity is plan-gated — 1 competitor on Free, 5 on paid tiers, 25 on the top tier — which is plenty to start: pick rivals you actually lose sales to, not the biggest brand in the category. ## Weekly reports and the Tools Center **Reports** compiles the week's movement — rankings, issues fixed and outstanding, audit health — into an HTML report delivered weekly, which is the format to forward to a partner or a boss. The **SEO Tools** center holds the hands-on utilities: a live robots.txt inspector, a sitemap inspector, a link and alt-text sweep across your pages, a schema builder for structured data, and a keyword density analyzer. ## The SEO agent, on guard duty The SEO Specialist agent (see the Agent Workforce) can run audits on schedule and apply **safe meta fixes autonomously** — the boring, low-risk corrections like missing descriptions — while anything structural arrives as a proposal for your approval. It turns the Issues queue from a to-do list into a mostly-self-tidying one. ## FAQ **Are the keyword volumes real search data?** No — and the suite never pretends otherwise. They are AI-modeled estimates for planning, clearly labeled as such. Position tracking, by contrast, measures your real rankings. **How often are keyword positions recorded?** Daily. Snapshots accumulate into a history you can read as trend lines. **Do audit fixes require a redeploy or theme edit?** No. On-page fixes and autoFixable repairs apply to the live site directly.
